TheDraw Fonts
34 fonts in TheDraw's .TDF format, every one recovered from the art-pack archive and painted cell by cell from its real grid data: 30 color fonts and 4 block fonts, no outline fonts among them.
TheDraw was the editor the BBS art scene drew with, and its fonts are grids, not outlines: each letter is a rectangle of code page 437 cells, and in a color font every cell carries its own ANSI color. These fonts traveled inside the monthly art packs, but not the way the art did. When all 4,019 packs in the archive were opened and inventoried, .TDF files turned up in exactly 6 of them, all dedicated font packs from 1994 to 1996: Surge's first pack, an Empire of Darkness pack, two Freak packs (the same five fonts twice), an iTCH pack and an ACT pack. 19 distinct designs came out of those six packs.
A second, recursive pass then opened the archives inside the archives: 2,456 of 2,464 nested ZIPs, down to chains six levels deep. It turned up no new sighting of the 19, but it found more designs the first pass could not see, nested inside six further packs from 1993 to 2001: an eight-font FB set by Frost Byte inside ciapak19.zip (CiA Pack #19, December 1994), two Guard fonts by The Guardian, two Jet fonts, and designs named peach1, iCE_fANTA-Z and font3ne. Their wall tiles say "found nested", and their records give the full nesting path. One more nested design surfaced later still, a third Guard font: GUARD1-2 was chained behind GUARD1-1 inside the same GUARDF1.TDF file, and a chained .TDF carries TheDraw's signature only once, so the signature scans behind every earlier pass had read just the first font. A chained-record re-check of the whole archive brought it out; the shelf's nested count is 15.
The restoration program has rebuilt 10 of them as TrueType fonts (the color fonts as color fonts, cell colors intact), each passing the FontBakery gate. Those restorations are submitted to FontSpace and not yet published, so their records say release pending and carry no download link; all 10 are live styles in the ASCII generator today. The other 24 are archive specimens for now: a five-font Freak series from 1995, SMALLFoNT, SNoWHotorett, actiononte, fluurpnlye, and the 15 nested finds described above. One quirk to know: the two Syndicate fonts' file names and internal TheDraw names are swapped, and their pages explain which name is which.

A naming quirk
The file name and the name inside the file disagree. This design travels in eod-ap02.zip as FONT2.TDF, but the name recorded inside the file is 'syndicate1'. font.lol's restoration batch named the pair by file order, so the restoration of FONT1.TDF is Syndicate 1 and the restoration of FONT2.TDF is Syndicate 2, the reverse of the internal names.

The second font in The Guardian's first TheDraw font pack: GUARDF1.TDF chains it behind GUARD1-1 inside the same file, in RIOT's Uprising pack (December 1, 1993), whose file list credits the font pack to him. It is a sibling variant of GUARD1-1, the same 26 capitals with different letterforms. A chained .TDF carries TheDraw's signature only once, so the signature scans behind every earlier census read just the first font in the file; this one stayed uncounted until a chained-record re-check of the archive walked the file's records one by one.
