Provenance
This design was found inside gy-ssbf.tdf, itself inside gy-ssbf.zip, itself inside the top-level pack wrlk002.zip. The first pass over the archive inventoried top-level files only, so it took the recursive pass, which opened 2,456 of the 2,464 nested archives in the 4,019-pack archive, to reach it. The top-level pack is a main tree pack from 2001. The extracted file is held byte-identical to its pack copy, and the recursive pass found no other sighting of this design anywhere in the archive.
Released by Gryphon of Warlock in 2001 as the 'Star Spangled Banner Font' for TheDraw (the font file's internal name is peach1). Gryphon's own notes say he reproduced the font from ANSIs he saw on the Tessla Coil BBS and did not know who originally designed it, so he is its converter, not necessarily its first designer.
