Provenance
This design was found inside GUARDF1.TDF, itself inside TG-FONT1.ZIP, itself inside the top-level pack riot1293.zip. The first pass over the archive inventoried top-level files only, so it took the recursive pass, which opened 2,456 of the 2,464 nested archives in the 4,019-pack archive, to reach the file it travels in. The design itself sat one record deeper: it is chained behind GUARD1-1 inside that file, and only a chained-record re-check, walking the file record by record, brought it out. The top-level pack is a main tree pack from 1993. The extracted file is held byte-identical to its pack copy, and no other sighting of this design exists anywhere in the archive.
The second font in The Guardian's first TheDraw font pack: GUARDF1.TDF chains it behind GUARD1-1 inside the same file, in RIOT's Uprising pack (December 1, 1993), whose file list credits the font pack to him. It is a sibling variant of GUARD1-1, the same 26 capitals with different letterforms. A chained .TDF carries TheDraw's signature only once, so the signature scans behind every earlier census read just the first font in the file; this one stayed uncounted until a chained-record re-check of the archive walked the file's records one by one.
