Provenance

This design was found inside GUARDF1.TDF, itself inside TG-FONT1.ZIP, itself inside the top-level pack riot1293.zip. The first pass over the archive inventoried top-level files only, so it took the recursive pass, which opened 2,456 of the 2,464 nested archives in the 4,019-pack archive, to reach it. The top-level pack is a main tree pack from 1993. The extracted file is held byte-identical to its pack copy, and the recursive pass found no other sighting of this design anywhere in the archive.

From The Guardian's first TheDraw font pack, released inside RIOT's Uprising pack (December 1, 1993), whose file list credits the font pack to him. He also contributed an ANSI logo to the same pack.
