Provenance
This design was found inside TDFONTS.TDF, itself inside SK-MENU1.ZIP, itself inside the top-level pack ice-0493.zip. The first pass over the archive inventoried top-level files only, so it took the recursive pass, which opened 2,456 of the 2,464 nested archives in the 4,019-pack archive, to reach it. The top-level pack is a ice tree pack from 1993. The extracted file is held byte-identical to its pack copy, and the recursive pass found no other sighting of this design anywhere in the archive.
The font file bundled with Shihear Kallizad's Image Menu Set (SK-MENU1, part 1 of 2), released in iCE's April 1993 pack. His notes present the set as his own work, signed as iCE senior staff, and say he included a TheDraw font file for people to use in their menu headers.
Where it stands
