About the lettering
Compacta Bold carried the 1996 original's international logo and returned for Resident Evil 2 and 3's European and Japanese editions, Code: Veronica, and Resident Evil 4's international release. The series never settled on one face: the 2002 remake and Zero used a modified ITC American Typewriter Medium, Resident Evil 5 and 6 switched to Trajan Bold, and Resident Evil 7 and the recent remakes use a modified Plak Black Extra Condensed.
