About the lettering

id Software's 1993 logo, all downward flares and menace, was drawn as artwork for the box, not set in a typeface. AmazDoom reverse-engineers the four letters into a full alphabet; the identification in the forum covers samples in the style rather than the game logo itself, which is the correct epistemic shape for a recreation.
